No!

NO!

I just bought a 99 S320 and the seats are quite wide. Im not sure they would even fit in my 126 let alone a smaller car. The 140 is a LOT wider than you think. I tried to reach accross to correct one of my idiotic passengers highly reclined seat settings and had to get out of the car to reach the control.

While the tracks "might" be similar in size you would litterally have to remove your center console entirely and then even risk them being too wide.

Have you considered having yours recovered? You would be surprised how cheap it is.

Doh!

Sorry,

I just looked at the ad a bit more. They are out of an E320. DOH!

Hmmmm If you were sneaky you could go and take a test drive of a later model E-class and bring your tape measure. Be careful driving the newer model though because in my case a selfish test drive ended up with an extra car in the garrage. No no really it followed me home!!!

Another thing you could do is keep your eyes peeled for the seats out of an 1995 124 chassis car which have the nicer seat stitching pattern.

Be sure to check your colors though. I wanted a set of seats for my 126 and was checking ebay. Until I got my S320 I did not realize how much different Parchment and Palomino were.

thanks for the advice! =D

yeah it would be easier just to find 95 seats... I'll see what happens once I reach the interior stage of my project.

The seller LKQ would be my last resort. I had an unhappy experience with them as have 88 others who left negative FB: http://toolhaus.org/cgi-bin/negs?User=%09hpap&Dirn=Received+by

As was said previously, seats from a '94 or '95 late 124 E series would be great! I would worry about the electric seat portion of anything else actually working properly, there might be a difference you can't see or measure witha tape measure.

I like your pic BTW!

EDIT - two things since my initial post.
1) LKQ is up to 113 Negative feedbacks, seems like they are on a roll

2) RE; Seat compatibility. Ha! I should have followed my own post! Duuuuh!
The later model seats in a 124, starting about 1990 when the back panels are pleated material instead of the black elastic string mesh are NOT interchangeable because the electric cables are different!
The earlier seats use a 12 pin plug and a smaller plug, later models use three different plugs, so I found out today after hopes the nice seats I bought yesterday would replace the existing seat w/ a worn bolster.
I spent a hour cleaning the carpet area under the seat and transferring some plastic trims parts THEN I put the seat in the cart and discovered the plugs were different. Damn! then I went to take it out and gashed the B pillar in the process because I didn't remove my steering wheel.
I guess I can swap the seat coverings over and I am not inclined to mess with that until it warms up a bit. Oh well, maybe this will save someone else all the crap I just went thru! Check the electrical stuff under the seats b4 attempting a seat swap within the 124 series (other seats may also have the same differences!)
