The 350 SDL is a little far from me.
On the 6V92, they are an old two stroke truck diesel, available with or without turbo. I personally have not wrenched on one, but we had a bunch of GMC Brigadiers with 6V92TA's (turbocharged and aftercooled version 325 hp IIRC) at one of the places I used to work. The ones we had were the later "Silver Series" as opposed to the old green ones that I've only heard about. In the Brigadier, they were somewhat hard to work on since a lot of the accessories were driven off the back of the engine. They had decent power, but were loud (lots of blower whine) and leaked oil. From what I've heard, the pre-Silver Series engines had some differences in the block and head castings and weren't as reliable.

Yea the old 6V92 would run backwards on the engine oil if the truck was in gear and rolled backwards.
They would puke out.

Mine is a 2000 model engine with low miles...
It is in my motorcoach, 1987 MCI-9. I am doing a conversion. The engine runs great but I need to change the thermostats. It is a turbocharged engine. Garrett to be exact!
