300d cluster into 240d

Receiving vehicle is 81 240d 4sp... Donor cluster is from later model 300d with tach 120mph speedo and mini clock... My question is the reserve light (fuel) stays on, and are the sending units compatable? The oil pressure line hooked up correctly, and is displaying pressure as should. The tach I will hook up later, and the clock seems interm. I am also sure I need to calibrate the speedo, but how? Last but not least, the coolant guage seems to work properly, but are the sending units compatable?...thank you...

The cluster works, the tach will be operational when the 617 goes in, for now I have all the stuff I need thnx...The question is more toward the sending units for the clusters reserve light, coolant guage, speedo needle accurate, the tach I will deal with later... If I need 300 d parts, or senders I have them but I want to see if everything is ok as is.

The W123 Diesel Haynes manual has a wiring diagram that includes the pin numbers on the instrument cluster for various models. It's a PITA to follow, but it appears to be accurate for my 300D (I made the classic stupid mistake of taking apart the round connector to the cluster, causing all the wires to fall out).

The main harness is different but you should be able to rig it to work.
