92 300 D --have my fingers crossed

I have a 255k 92 300D--best car I have ever owned and driven. 30-32 mpg, rides great, handles great, dependable, ect, ect, ect. Yesterday I noticed diesel fuel leaking and began looking for the source of the leak. It is leaking at the top of the inline injector pump fittings. Not the line fittings but the adaptors that go from the pump to the line fittings. My indy says I need 5 40cents o-rings and 5 90 cent washers--now here's the kicker. Indy says there is a 20% chance that the pump will need recalibrating after these parts have been installed. If it needs recalibration it has to go the local Diesel Injection shop and they are BRUTAL! I hope my job is one of the 80% ones.

Anyone have some experience with this?

TIA Ernie

Thanks sixto

Maybe these guys know NOT to take off the spline nuts? I'll remind them. Its an Indy Mercedes only shop and they need the business. The owner is a friend of mine and he has done lots of little things and sold parts to me at discount for several years. Its time for him to make a little off of me. Your procedure sounds pretty straight-forward. I'm assuming that by NOT taking off the spline nuts the chances of getting the pump out of calibration are highly improved? Ernie
