seat adjustments, what does this do?

Hi,

On my front seats there are to things that adjust the seat...
The one on the front seat moves it forward and back...
The one on the side doesn't seem to do anything; any idea what it is supposed to do?

Thank you!

if it is a W123 chassis, one of them moves the seat forward and backward, the other adjusts the seat height.

KFC

To adjust the seat height, pull up on the side lever and slide the seat foward and back with your legs. Its not uncommon for it to be jammed.

Don't do what I did! Sit your wife in the seat and have her pull the handles while you push from behind with your legs...It will work, but it will tick-off a red-head in a heart beat.

They can get sticky, I shot a load of teflon lube on the tracks, worked it back and forth, they are fine now
