Check this Sprinter out

This conversion beats the heck out of those GMC Savana/Chevrolet Express conversions. It looks "almost" AMG like. I wouldn't mind riding in or driving one of those.

I almost got to take one of those home from work one weekend. It was the panel version though. My friends and I were going to take a couch and keg, stick it in the back, and go meet up with some people in Chicago. Unfortunatly, it was leased from DC, and I guess we have a rule about students and leased cars. Oh well.

Hmmm, after hearing of your plans, I might have an idea why that particular rule is in effect.....

Imagine the alternator you'd need for those + any accompanying sound or playback equipment.

A single big plasma screen can suck up over 700-800 watts or more.

So....a 900AMP alternator might cut it. Either that or have the screens only work when its parked/on A/C power. It *might* sap a few (70ish?) hp off the engine too....yikes.

I'd wonder about the mechanical durability of a large plasma screen in a vehicle. An LCD screen might do better, and the power consumption would be much lower.

I agree, Plasmas would die in a vehicle, they are very very fragile. I've seen the boxes they get shipped in, they essentially proclaim "Plasma apocolypse" on the sides if bumped/jarred/set down the wrong way.

LCD's can take a beating, especially ones designed for such uses.

Image booster for DC

That's a nice one. A great benefit to the Chrysler side of Daimler Chrysler

But not seen too many of them around, and folks here in USA don't seem to really know what they are. Everywhere else in the world pretty much, they are known.

Great replacement for the Ram Van of Dodge.

Hope the reliability and build quality prove out.

They are definately a good alternative to the E350 Ford/GMC Savannah, but probably cost a lot more

"Mercedes don't make a van"

Yes, I know they do, I see it above. Nice.

But am I the only one who remembers the Blue Collar Comedy (can't remember the guy's name) sketch about the "Mercedes-owning brother in law"???

Hilarious, I thought...
