Take a look at Fred's TDI Forums (http//forums.tdiclub.com) under the "Non VW Group TDI, CDI & Diesels" section. There is a thread titled "Benz modifications", the guy shows a photo of his engine where he replaced the entire air filter housing, oil separator, and breather hose on his 617 turbo diesel. It sounds like a good idea, but won't the breather on the valve cover turn black after a while and create a mess? It looks good, and I am willing to try it on my car, but would like to consult with my fellow MB diesel nuts before proceeding. Please advise.
