Question W123 Website search?

Need help to locate a website.
I thought I had saved a link to a wonderful MB enthusiast's personal photographic repair guide/manual (123 chassis) site that was very helpful to me in the past.
He had excellent, very clear photos, great labeling, as well as good narrative instructions for almost any repair that one would attempt. Photos provided better detail than any book.
Anyone got a link they could share or an email address for something that may fit this description?

Thanks

Lower ball joints are pressed into the Steering knuckle, not the lower control arm.

FYI,

You can rent tools such as a spring compression tool at Autozone for free!! They require a credit card for security payment, but they refund the entire amount when you return it.

Yes they rent tools but the spring compression tools they have will not work on an MB for a couple of reasons. MB coils are made with large diameter stock and spaced very close together. Therefore, the rentals are not strong enough and won't fit the spacing between the coils.

You know there

are probably some amazing forces in the various members of the front end assembly....and they show when you go to undo various members.. thank G-- I invested in a expensive Pittman Puller, the kind with screw clamps that really lock the jaws on tight. Its amazing how much "POP" you get when some of those joints Pop.

On the front end, if you are ingenious and very careful, there is a way to remove and replace the springs without using the Special Spring Tool. Thats because you dont have to compress the springs that much to make them clear the lower control arms once the shock is removed--probably 2 inches at the most. You can safely use regular McPherson spring compressors provided you dont compress the springs more than 2 inches. I did this very safely. What you have to do is swing the control arm down and the springs will drop out.

Obviously everyone will disagree and say I am courting danger, but i did it safely,if you calculate the force at 2 inches of compression its quite smaller than McPherson springs at 12 inches of compression so dont worry about safety.
