Guys, here is the Smart up against a Mercedes S-Class.
Specifically, a W220.

Watch what happens.

Do these things really weigh 2183 lbs.? That's pretty heavy for something the size of a "Big Wheel." No wonder they do as well as they do in a crash.

The Smart Car Showdown:

Smart Car vs. Big Foot Power Wheels
Smart Car vs. Shopping Cart Full of Fresh Groceries
Smart Car vs. Geo Metro
Smart Car vs. F-150
Smart Car vs. F-350 w/ 29ft Travel Trailer
Smart Car vs. F-550 Stake Body Full of Hay
Smart Car vs. F-750 Dump Truck
Smart Car vs. The L Train
Smart Car vs. Tyrannosaurs Rex (Jurassic Park Style)

I am sure if someone puts all these on a tape, they will recieve alot of money from alot of rednecks, me included.

Couldn't get the visual of the Smart Car vs. S-Class, but I did have sound. I have to say I was let down; I was expecting a sound similar to a tennis ball, not a beer can.

No thanks. I'll wait a few years and get a used E320 CDI for that price.

a fresh smarts around here (euroland) cost about 5000 grands, they're hell lot of fun to ride! the most surprising is the acceleration, similar to a bike! best way around cities.

YIKES!!

This clip should be required viewing for all prospective SMART purchasers..

The elk and moose will sleep better though

(It's not the fall that kills you, it's the sudden stop)

Heaven knows why, but the tuning firm BRABUS had a bout with the SMART right when it came out.
