Cool Finally the SDL is coming out to play!!!

Its been a long winter, much longer because I have not been able to drive the SDL. I'm suffer serious W126/603 withdrawl here.

Well her long winter hibernation is coming to an end soon. If the weather breaks tomorrow she is coming out of the garage! Thats if it ever stops raining.

I waxed up two of the wheels today, mounted on the easy side. Also stuck the nice shiney chrome center caps in them I picked up this morning. I'll wax the other too tomorrow, can't mount those until she is out. Just need to do a few minor things, replace an O ring on trans, double check a few bolts, swap on my new cross drilled rear rotors, brake fluid flush, oil change. After that she is good to go for a bit!

I am looking forward to running that sweet 603 through the gears, so smooooth, slam you into the dash brakes, super tight suspension. I'm really looking forward to getting back into a properly sorted W126.

Fingers crossed that the rain breaks tomorrow.

Dont you feel bad though, not letting that 603 run? My moms old SDL would get grumpy after a week if I hadnt driven it! Would smoke like a bastard at startup. Needed new injectors i think though. It did have a great amount of power though, I loved rolling along at 20 mph then punching the gas... would snap my head back pretty good!

Ahh rain rain go away, come back another day.

My street looks like a water fall! I guess she will be coming out tomarrow.

walgamuth it rained all last week, and will most of this week it seems. There is a low over Mich, and Ohio that just sitting their and spinning. Winter has been over for a month and a half, just with school I have not had time to touch the SDL. This week since half of my classes are done with, I can spend some time on it.

The best thing is, the longer you go without driving them, the more fun it is to get back in. Glad to hear you are going to be back in the saddle.

Spring came late out on the west coast too. But not that late!!

last week when it was raining so much it seemed like there was a lot of action here.

i figured it must have been raining all over the place and folks came here out of lack of ability to work outside.
