Mine has 193, and runs great so far. It would be a shame to sell it in a non-running condition, although finding the trouble could indeed be very expensive.

What do you expect to get from it? While I'd prefer an earlier model 210, who knows. I expect to visit the Atlanta area in a few months...

I will fix it first then I'll put it on e-bay. Do I need to have a web site to post some pictures here? It looks nice and runs excellent . I am the second owner and I have a tone of records. The extra things that I have on it are the Upsolute chip, ZR3 laser jammer and detector and 18" wheels. I expect around $15 K with all the stuff on it. Otherwise $13.5 K.

I wouldn't sell it just becuase of that, LOL - Granted I've been there and thought of it... What voltage are you getting from the battery? Was any recent work done to the vehicle?are the terminals on the battery tight? That starter draws ALOT of juice. A recent member had a similar problem and replaced the K40 relay as it's called and hasn't had an issue since.

Thats great news. I've seen a few threads on the K40 lately, and wondering when mine will give out. Right now I'm worried about the N65, which controls the auxiliary fan on my car (but not on yours).

Had the exact same thing happen to me an hour ago. Left work and went to run an errand to the store. Came back to the car from the store 5 minutes later, proceeded w/ usual pre-glow sequence and I realized that the light never came on, I tried to crank it for a few, thinking maybe it was the bulb and it wouldn't start. Removed key and tried again, no pre-glow light. I popped the hood, checked some fuses and unplugged the main glow plug relay and re-connected it. Got back in the car tried again w/ the pre-glow sequence and after 1 second the pre-glow light came on, it went off on it's own and fired up no problem. Ran fine all the way home.

I'm gonna go by the stealer tomorrow to try to buy a new K40 relay.

The point is, don't overlook the simple stuff.

Tell me about your chip. Did it increase the power noticably? Did it affect fuel mileage any? I have a '98 E300D I am thinking of putting a speedtuning chip or re-program in. They say standard chip is good for 40 hp and custom is good for an extra 60 hp. Said it ups fuel delivery, timing, and boost pressure.

Get the custom. Boost pressure is something YOU do to increase the power. They tune the PCM. Mileage actually went a bit better if you keep your foot out of it. Otherwise mileage is the same. It does heat up a bit more and spits out black smoke when you WOT it.

Not worth taking the risk and leaving you stranded.

Where is it and what can you do about it? Change it at a certain mileage?
