Smile Home Built Pickups

All through the 1990's these were every where .

I saw a few made from W116 chassis .

Most were pretty well done .

I wonder where they all are now .

Resting in peace or pieces. A unibody sedan makes a lousy pickup base… unless you’re Australian

Isn't this the rod bender ? .

He talks a lot about recent service but doesn't mention if this was addressed .

Truly, these are fine cars for travel .

Hi all. Does anyone still use this thing?

I'm selling my 1983 300TD Turbodiesel wagon. It's up on Los Angeles craigslist now: https://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/cto/d/culver-city-1983-mercedes-benz-300td/7629097988.html

Feel free to comment or DM me here if you have any questions about it!
