Did a '78 240D ever have a 100MPH speedometer? (I doubt it, but can't be sure).

IIRC the 85mph speedo became law in ‘79 and implanted a year or two later.

Some American cars had 85mph speedos before it was mandated.

Perhaps the 85 MPH only lasted a few years..

That's crazy cheap. Sure beats the $400 set of RHD Euro Bosch headlights I have for sale. The only thing that makes these more valuable, is that there are very few in the 'States (maybe even none other for sale). I actually had to go to England to get them......Rich

Got very lucky at a local yard recently - pulled a pair of Bosch with the vacuum level adjust feature off a Euro edition w126. With tax around $70 both.
