Did I get a good deal?

Just bought a 1998 E300 turbodiesel, blue with tan, 220,000 miles for $6,000. Texas car. One owner, corprate car, an oil company. New transmission at 211,520, new injectors, a/c compressor, glow plugs at 218,625....all records, should I be conserned with the spring perches issue? Did I get a good deal? It was a fast decision, because the were about to send it to the auction. Great gas mileage.

Seems pretty good, those TDs in that body fetch usually upper teens from what I've seen. I'd take one for sure, plus you can get some decent power out of them with a tune.

I'd like to have a late E420 Sport, runs how an old 500E does but better economy.

240Ds aren't known for speed. I'd take one for cruising about town as they're geared pretty low. Those 3.5L are pretty much junk.

I have a bunch of info on the new CDI, seems like a nice ride. Park Place had one up here in Bedford about a year back when they first came out. I scoped it out while pickin up some junk I ordered from the bay in the back.

Yes. That ad was dated for 2003.

$6K is more than a steal even for one with 220K miles on it. Usually they sell for around $11K 'ish with those kind of miles, in fair condition.
