When you compare German ebay and the variety of interesting diesel cars there with the paucity of, say, Craigslist (where with great trouble I found a pretty good 1999 E 300 Turbodiesel), it is rather sad. Among my happiest memories was buying a VW Golf directly from the factory in Germany in 1982 and the excellent maintenance it received at Rittersbacher in Kaiserslautern. wie schade.
