Thumbs up All 603s have same AFM?

Just as it says, do all 603s have the same AFM (W124 wagons, W126 sedans, etc)

Air Flow Meter - in the 603.960 it only serves to tell the EGR when to open, AFAIK and is something I've disconnected on one 603 with no problem. In later diesels its necessary to be there and working though.

Just found out mine had one. What the heck good does it do? I can understand on the 606's that its needed for the computer, but our engines don't have anything like that.

On the SDL it's just something for the EGR I think, mine's gone.

I'll try to get a part number for it tomorrow.

87 D/TD, 86-87 SDL, 90-91 SD/L use the same AFM per the EPC. W140s use a different AFM.
