Thumbs up Check out my New Trailer Hitch

Here is the DaLan Trailer Hitch I got on ebay a little over a week ago (sorry if anyone else here was a bidder in the war to get it, but I wanted it most. ) Ending price w/shipping was $152, not bad at all! Its in excellent shape and was pretty straight forward to install, I hated drilling my beast, but it had to be done. It is a 1 1/4" receiver and its rated about 200lbs hitch-weight and 2000lbs towing capacity. See below for a bunch of pics:

Those things are worth that kind of money! I have one on my SD! Don't know if I want to sell it, chances are slime to non that I will ever mount it on the SDL.

Yeah it started at like $25 but then it started going up, I think about 4-5 other people fought with me for it. Its a neat thing to have! Now I can pull anything from canoe trailer to jet ski to small flatbed trailer or even a popup camper (possible), very cool. Also I am getting a hitch-mount bike carrier to connect to it, which is pretty much the #1 reason I installed it. I have a strap/trunk mount carrier, but they come loose, and I got scared so I am not using that one anymore and am upgrading so I can carry my and my girlfriend's bikes places now w/out worry of them falling off. (They never fell off the strap carrier, but they came loose and could have come off, plus those strap ones are a pain and you can't open the trunk with them on.

Yes its designed by DeLan Hitches for the 126 series MB's, says right on the instruction sheet that came with it, it fits under there perfectly. Its rated at 200lbs on the hitch and 2000lbs towing/trailer weight capacity. Pretty good! Even a normal popup camper trailer only puts about 100-150lbs on the car/hitch and itself weighs about 1800lbs loaded, so I'll never exceed the ratings.
