Alda
The ALDA is for nothing more than to limit smoke at takeoff. Once you pass 5psi boost it is at full enrichment.
Proof: I don't use an ALDA. My MPG didn't change at all after I removed it. There were only two major changes from it's deletion. 1: A more "crisp" throttle response. There is no surge when boost comes on. 2: A bit more black smoke during takeoffs where I use 1/2 throttle or more. In fact, here is my fuel log. The 12 and 13 mpg numbers were caused by a fuel leak. I removed my ALDA early March. EDIT: Yes, I spelled receipt wrong.... |
