Cooling A/C problems

My car has been running hot and the a/c performance was lacking so here's what I did.

Removed radiator and cleaned the fins on the outside. They were dirty and really needed it.

Sraightened fins on a/c condensor

And did this Write-up on fan clutch repair see post #28

What a difference in cooling and a/c performance I recommend anyone with cooling complaints try these first before you spend lots of money. The 2 tubes of silicone only cost $22.

I cleaned the SD condensor and radiator fins last summer to help with a slight heat problem (approaching 100C). That does make a huge difference.

Did you see the post a few down from #28, about baking the clutch? I wonder if that might work as well as drilling a hole.

And finally, you got the fluid from a Toyota dealer?

No need to bake the clutch when you drill a hole and put in a plug. The set screw was a 8-32 I got from home depot and bought a tap and drill combo too for just thst size so it was cheap!
