Question Thermal Flasher location

Just got my new 1982 Mercedes 240D (Graymarket from Deutschland) and the right blinker blinks fast, but the turn signal lights work. The left signal works at normal speed, and the hazard switch makes a buzzing noise when turned on. Replaced the Relay under the console plate- not it. A mechanic friend told me to replace the flasher (thermal) which 99.9% sure would fix the problem. Bought thermal flasher replacement. CAN'T FIND THE BLASTED LOCATION FOR THE THING. HELP!:

If the right side blinks faster than the left then there's a burned out bulb or wrong amperage bulb in the right side.

The turn signals are electronic. There is no bi-metallic strip type flasher like in most cars. The unit under the center console was it.

A bulb or bad connection is most likely it.
