It looks like someone really hacked up a euro wagon.

I agree it is a terrible thing to do to a euro wagon, but if the alternative was to send it to the crusher, I'd be all for what they did. That thing must be FAST though! I'd not mind having it! I'd probably at least make the gauge cluster stock again....otherwise I'd be ok with it.

Yea, I agree that it's an ok thing to do if you're saving it from the crusher. Not so sure if the guy tore apart a good wagon to do what he did.

Interior is green and looks like cloth. Bet it was a manual shift euro wagon...

The least the guy could have done was put a powerstroke into it.

I kinda like it. I would rather have a 350small block in my car rather than a stinky old low HP diesel. One things for shure parts will be alot easier to come by.

I would prefer a blown small block ,but I think the guy has his head in the right place.

A powerstroke diesel probably weighs about 800+lbs, it'd sink these cars to the ground in front, and wouldn't fit either, have you seen one of those engines? they're huge! Additionally, the torque would probably turn the unibody into a corkscrew shape the first time you mashed the pedal

I've got one in the truck.

I was sort of kidding, but can you imagine what that wagon would do with a chipped 7.3 and a 4" exhaust! You could probably offset the weight in front with a ton or so of concrete in the back and some heavy, heavy duty shocks...

I'd probably be concerned about the body twisting from the torque though....

Yea, it would probably turn the car into a pretzel. But it would be cool, nonetheless.

I remember years ago seeing a morris mini minor with a lotus esprit engine in it. I didn't see it run and they had to hack out bits of the firewall and use some of the passenger seat, but it was impressive. No doubt a rolling death trap that I wouldn't have driven under any circumstances.

I saw a documentary called Trekkies about Star Trek fanatics in which this one guy spent like two years and lots of money making a replica of a "life support wheel chair" that was featured in one of the episodes. Basically it was a sleek, black, motorized wheel chair that comes up to the neck and has lights on it. The guy wasn't disabled either. This (and the "James Bond jet boat") strikes me as the same sort of thing. A lot of wasted money and effort. I mean, who wants a fast sports car that looks like an old station wagon?

Here in California we have to smog test cars.
The rules change, over the last 30 years we have been asked to do it
every two years. Sometimes at a state testing center, sometimes at a private run facility. A little game we play.

Except for Diesel cars.

I went from a corvette to my 300D, and I felt a lot of similarity,
4 wheel independant suspension with four wheel disc brakes.

For me, a desirable car would be a small block chevy in a MB diesel frame.

No bi-annual smog checks, and all the fun over-cammed street rod motor I could hope for.

Don't get me wrong, I love my diesel motors, but I keep thinking about a gas
motor in that diesel registered frame.
