Spraying things like PBBlaster on a horizontal bolt really has little chance of helping to loosen it unless you build up some way of making a puddle of it and letting it and gravity work at least overnight. It has no physical incentive to go into the thread area unless you have actual liquid and gravity working together. I know that would be a lot of trouble.. you would need to clean around the bolt, make up some container which could be RTV'd around it and let that cure for a day before you installed the liquid penetrating oil.
Most of the time people are not going to do that and just need to find more power.. like air tools .... to break the stuff apart.. |

Had a similar problem... with the 8mm especially...PB Blaster will climb up a bolt but it is for sure a good idea to clean the area if possible and also to "tap" the obstinate bolt a few good whacks and allow like 5 minutes to give it a chance to help you out. I was sure my socket would break b4 the 8mm bolt broke loose...I got lucky...and my only other option was to add a torch which would have been quite messy. Cross your fingers and spray...
