Heat soaking solenoids or intermittent contact problems.t

Just occured to me while posting on a glow circuit problem. You might want to wire an older ford type remote solenoid in to bypass a troublesome original starter solenoid. A lot cheaper than pulling starter and replacing the original. Should be fast and pretty easy to do. Just a money saving thought. Will work fine if the problem is the solenoid. With a little luck you only have to make up or aquire one heavy jumper cable. I can visulise no harm done basically either. Something was sitting in the back of my mind when reading about Sady"s heat soak problem. Too bad it did not bubble to the surface then.
