Any help please?

I am trying to take off my drivers door off of my 85' 300D, and I took off the screws holding the door, and, now what's left is to take out the pin, and to unwire the door. And I was wondering how in the world do you unconnect the wires to the car from the door? If anyone has changed a door before and knows how to do this, then can you please give me some advice? THANKS!!!

You could take off the inside door panel... after taking the handles off..
but I suspect that most people just cut the wires ( be sure they are color coded.. or add your own colored tape ) and resolder when putting it back on...

Hopefully the wires are connectorized,,,

Take the panel off and disconnect (if possible) no need to introduce moisture and corrosion into the wires.
