IP reseal kit?
Does anyone know where I could pickup a kit to reseal the IP on my SDL? There's nothing wrong mechanically to require spending $100s at a diesel shop when all it needs is some o-rings.
All help is appreciated.

Check with an IP shop. MB only lists a few of the seals. The IP has to come apart to replace the control rod sensor seal.

The ones that consistently leak the most are the fuel shutoff arm o-ring and the bottom plate. IIRC, the former can be replaced with some other MB application o-ring [either fuel filter or oil filter shaft--it escapes me right now], and the latter can be replaced with a large OM617 oil filter cannister o-ring.
Like Sixto says, the control rod sensor seal R&R requires that the governor be removed. |

I'm almost certain it's that lower plate on mine that leaks, OR that fuel delivery line. Either way, I'd like to replace those along with the block seal and see where that gets me.
Big reason I'm worried, I don't want this oil leak to kill another motor mount.
