Blue, 126, rear seat back, fits SEL or SDL with reclining back seat, Atlanta area.

[COLOR="Blue"]I have a very good, blue, rear seat back for FREE. No splits, cuts, nor discoloration. It came from a 1982 380 SEL. The donor car has an adjustable/reclining back seat so this seat back will not install in my 300SD. I will keep looking. I am in the Atlanta area, so if you need this seat back, you can pick it up at my house. My email address is: brucebonds@bellsouth.net

Thanks.

Maybe you can remove the leather and horsehair? Should be easier to turn then I'd think.

What's the difference in the reclining seat? are there brackets wlded to the floor to allow the seat to recline? wondering if the recline could be retrofitted.

Totally different back there how the seat bolts in, the bolt down, not just snap in place. I've never looked close to swapping one in, but it can't be that bad. The harness just runs up the driver floor to the panel under the driver's footrest.

Then pull the harness from both doors.

The recline deal is sweet, it REALLY lays you out in the back. My 420 and the SDL both have it.
