Mo cheap tricks
Been reading about sound deading...the paint on stuff is 50 bucks a gallon! But I had several large pieces of 1" foam left from the front seat cover project. I was gonna just pitch it, but instead I cut it to size and put it under the carpet mats, and stuffed it under the seats. Makes a nice cushy floor and really cuts down on road noise.
My cruise is fixed but it kinda made me seasick going downhill, it was like a reverse surging as it backed off the fuel to maintane the set speed. I adjusted almost all the play out of the cruise actuator linkage. Now it's smooth as a baby's butt! This old cars just love to be tweaked. In spite of all the recent AC threads/threats I just pumped in another can of gas. Wish I had 38 degree air at the vent, but I only managed to get 44...I didn't buy gages, I just bought the cool little thermometer. It was a $14.00 Saturday in the shop.

I am sure you are correct. She held what charge she had since Feb., seemed obvious it was just low. 102 in the shop, 44 at the vent, 8 bucks...works on my pocketbook gage.
