My wife is going to kill me.

I just offered $100 on a 240d 4spd with sunroof.

....

I already have a parking problem at the house.

but it was only 100.00! Such a deal! I'll bet you anything she won't even notice, if you already have a parking lot for a front yard.

Before she kills you, please change your will so that I get all your cars.

Of course I, too, will probably die suddenly and unexpectedly if that happens.

It is easier to beg forgiveness than to get permission.
It is okay to lie if your life is at stake....you got paid to take the car?

and liberty and justice for all.....when do we get to see the photos? Is this latest acquistion going to be brought home under "cover of darkness?" A stealth like mission? Just throw a car cover over it that is camoflaged(sp) to look like a hedge.

The guys scoffed at my offer. However turns out the car has not title, no bill of sale and he wont write one. Having gotten an abandoned car title previously, he couldnt pay me enough to go through that again.

That's perfect, just strip it for parts and get rid of it. Buy a $100 van to put the parts in and you can strip three cars and store all the parts in the van. Get rid of the cars, wife thinks you're a hero. Paint murals on the van and you're an artist, not a junk collector.

kinda sounds like an article i read in one of the muscle car magz.. guy died left all of his car stuff to the family, well his closest friend thats lke 30 is interested in buying all of it.. 21 semi trailers stuffed with muscle car parts and mystery things.. so the family and him go through each trailer. to decide on a price.. well the first one they open. not only is it stuffed to the rafters in parts but a yenko camero, and 2 chevelles... then another trailer. a early 60's corvette and a special edition 68 camero.. the guy said he stopped counting engines at 150. alot of them are rare ones . 420 cube blocks and all.. ls1's or soemthing.. he bought all 21 trailers. total of like 20 cars 150+ engines and NOS factory performance parts and body panels.. i think he scored it all for like 300k not a bad deal when a mint 69 camero can score a big chunk of change

Muscle car prices have gone astronomically insane since these televised auctions have gotten popular. Of course, you can ask anything you want, doesn't mean it's worth it. But, Hemmings had a charger for $600,000+. I thought they added too many zeroes until I looked at the other prices.

Inspired by your sheer audacity ( and my ability to conceal the purchase) I made an offer on another 300TD...on the roader, paint looks clean, nasty but the interior has been kept covered...covered in dog hair from what I could see!

I've seen it around town and yesterday I just waited until the nice extremley heavy lady came out of the store. She said they have 3 other cars and they just drive this enough to keep the battery charged up. She took my card and said it would be nice to "find it a good home" and get it outta the driveway. These car inspire madness.

There is such a fine line between hero and dumba$$...I await the phone call and the verdict.
