Bio-diesel and Diesel Purge

Was wandering if it still makes sense to purge the engine every half year or use Techron when using Bio-diesel?

I used Diesel Purge after running B100 for 8 months. I didn't notice any change in engine perfomance. so I would put my vote on no it isn't needed. BUt you aren't going to hurt anything by using it.

I suspect that the use of good biodiesel would likely mean less need to diesel purge.

I used 2 cans of diesel purge in 2 SDs to no effect at all
however the effect of biodiesel was immediate

Purging every half-year is a bit of overkill. Maybe once a year or every other year as preventive maintenance.
