i still havent been able to get my new (plug style) seat switch to work on my (soldered style) 81 300SD. there seems to be 10 wires on the old switch and 11 wires on the new switch. after about 2 two hours of figuring out where each wire goes from the new one to the old one (ie. red and red do no match up or blue and blue) the seat only slides forwards and backwards and tilts forward. i took the seat out to make sure the motors were free(spun them with a drill bit) and they were i wanted to test them straight froma battery but did not have a charged one on hand.

could i just switch the seat bottoms from the drivers to the passengers? has anybody done this? step would be useful as i do not know how to do this.

i ve been at the this issue since ive had the car (3-3-06) and its becoming an annoyance at this point.

any help?
