Yeeeeeeeeee Haaaaaa

I have the 'new' 1981 300D.
It drives fantastic. The power difference without the turbo is less than I excepted when compared to my 1985 300D.

I will post so pictures today. I am thinking of putting them in the gallery.

My wife likes the car!?!?!?!?!? Yet she does not like the 1985

We have a short hair Saint Bernard. He is mostly white and cream color with some grey. My father told me that I now need to buy another black or grey 300D because I bought a white one and now a cream one. He thinks that I need one for every color of the dog.

I apologize for not having posting any pictures at this time. About six hours after I returned home with the car Murphy’s Law paid a visit for a days. Anyhow I will someday, soon, get pictures of the 1981 300D and my other Mercs.

One thing that I have noticed in comparing my 1981 to the 1985, as much as I like the power of the turbo 617 engine I really like the smoothness of the power of the non-turbo 617. No turbo surge, lag, or whatever you want to call it. I really like it.
