I have the opposite problem...the pre overhaul blues. Just thinking about all of the stuff that I need to do gets me depressed.

I took the weekend off...
I hope I'm always back--probably just melted from the sun---I still look at the car--like Hatteras Guy I would like to do a Porsche or Ferrarri, but I'm middle class, and there aren't many parts for a Porsche or Ferrarri in the junkyard, plus a W123 300D is a nice practical car!
The steering gear box change out was a Snap, very easy, just follow the instructions on the Shop CD, especially wr to using the centering pin to line everything up.. Actually next time I will do a 240 D |

Golf?
I just can't get interested, though I gotta crush on Michelle Wie. She can drive my 300D anyday.I tried to learn but it isnt me. Skiing isnt much fun either.
Car trips through the mountains, old cars , working with my hands, and family are my big things...I run two miles a day (mid speed) and sometimes I lift weights.... |

Careful:
Whenever I sit back and contemplate my great accomplishments in life and ponder lounging lazily around, something else breaks (PTO on mower, home computer, work computer, faucet that drips, etc.) There are those that sit around all there life and do little. Then there are those of us that are cursed to be workaholics on something every hour of the day, every day of the week. You will continue to accomplish, as that is what you do.
Go vintage Benz or get some old American iron. I've got a 1950 Chevy Deluxe convertible of my dad's (customized in '51 with Caddillac fins) that is my someday maybe. So, enjoy it, work on the paint issues and then keeping it spotless.

Golf/Benz
Cam, Golf is a relaxing sport...long as your in a Golf Cart...and you drive off the Tee box to the middle of the fairway and then a short shot to the green.(dreaming ) Course like me..i usually like to go through the nature trails,(scenic route ) to get to the green, which isn't a bad thing...i sometimes still manage a par, bogey, double bogey and sometimes i lose count. I still love the sport. Hanging with friends and doing something other than the daily job.

Golf is a lot of fun. I really like the conversation, you have 18 holes so you have got to talk about something. Plus the challange of making that little ball do anything close to what you want it to do. Go with a couple of friends and you get a peacefull couple of hours to hang around. Tee off at 6AM and no one is around to bother you.
