Need some opinions on this car ('82 300D)

I'm considering making a ~200 mile trek to check out this car, but I want to know if you guys think it's worth it. It's pretty much everything I'm looking for, but it all comes down to price, as always. I don't think the price in unreasonable, but it's definitely at the higher end of the spectrum for a car of this age (at least from what I've seen).

So fire away. Thanks in advance for any help.

That is the one I have the deposit on. It is a nice car, and it test drove well. It does have some blowby, though, but from what I understand, blowby is normal.

Service records

I would want to see all of the service records. The color is actually Pajettrot (don't ask me what a Pajett is because it isn't in the dictionary). Watch for peeling clearcoat because it is a metallic color. Take it out for a good hard drive to see how it does. The car looks very clean but I think the asking price is at least $1,500 too high. Maybe have some patience and you can get a similar car from an individual for less money. Used car dealers aren't considered the lowest life forms for nothing, so watch out! In March I paid $2,600 for a 1985 300TD with 178,000 miles and all service records since new, and a new motor and turbo at 80,000 miles. I bought it from the original owner's son.

Hmm, a deposit, eh? Are you planning to follow through with the purchase? PM me if you want to keep this conversation private.
