I meant to the left of the gauge cluster between the speaker and the left AC vent. It's not a level surface so some customization will have to be done. A cup seems easier.

Done!

I installed my Gauge last night. Didn’t get done till 1:30AM, but it works great. I used the water pipe, it was a trick finding one that the gauge sat in perfectly, but I got one. I'm going up to my moms house this weekend, and she works wonders with her sowing machine, she said she would be able to stretch some leather or Naugahyde to match my dash. since the pipe has to come out to get coverd this weekend I haven't mounted it yet, its just stuck to the speaker grill with some tape. I’ll post some pictures once it is finished.

just installed my guage too.. it came with all sorts of fittings to go into intake manifolds.. i just hope the vac line they gave me holds up to the heat..for right now the guage is ziptied into the left AC vent.. but when shcool is back in session 2 weeks im going to draw a guage pod up in solidworks that will fit perfectly on the steering column.. if anyone else is interested i can print one out for ya at a price...

The tubing is available at any auto parts store. Look for oil pressure gauge tubing. It comes in plastic and copper. It looks like it would also be perfect for replacing all of the vacuum lines in the car. The only drawback is the lack of color coding. I have been looking for small heat shrink tubing that I could use to color code the lines every few feet.

How about a permanent marker like a Sharpie to code the lines?

My 83 300SD boost guage

I used a tee from the garden drip line between overboost switch and ALDA.

Bolted my $30 JC whitney boost guage to a small steel plate and wedged the
plate in the lower panel and dashboard joining line.
No holes installation.

Guage brand name was Sunpro.

Attached light to main light switch so I would get lit guage when lights on.
