This one actually looks a BIT better than others that he's got listed.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Mercedes-Benz-300-Series-350SDL-1991-350SDL-W126-TURBO-DIESEL-WARRANTY-FLORIDA-LO-MILES_W0QQitemZ230018337784QQihZ013QQcategoryZ6330QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I still hope that it can be proven that this shyster is bidding on his own auctions!

The wagon and the "Krylon Special" that he has listed are reason enough NEVER to buy a car from this joker.

I'm pretty sure he has listed this car for sale before under another seller name a few weeks back.

Q&a

I sent him an email that asked a few questions about that 1987 wagon:

1. Has the car been in any type of accident? Is ALL of the body work original?

2. Does the A/C work properly? Does it blow cold out of all vents?

3. For what reason is the auction private?

4. For what reason do you have multiple user IDs?

His answers:

1. No accidents.
(Yeah right - that explains the front bumper that's off by over 25%...)
2. A/C needs a charge.
(Mercedes A/C NEVER EVER "just needs a charge.")
3. No response.
4. No response.

I hope he tires of scamming on Ebay. It p's me off that what could be such a good marketplace has been essentially ruined by crooked sellers like this. I would never EVER buy a car from Ebay.

Why not..? I'm about to list 4 cars over the next few months.

Of course, they will be fully disclosed and video uploaded for you to play back and
also mechanical evaluation too.
They will be....

1985 300TD wagon.
1982 Alfa Romeo Spider.
1999 Audi A4 1.8t.
1992 Mercedes 300e Sedan.

.....plus a few older Mercedes, a 1980 240, 1983 300SD and a 1979 300TD that I'm probably going to part out.

Well since you mention it...

I might be interested in that '92. The '85 wagon sounds like music to my ears but quite frankly, you'll get more on Ebay than I'm willing to pay, given the craze for TDs.

Send me PM w/ more details - want to get my wife a MB sedan of that vintage.

Everyone who sells a MB with a busted AC systems says it just needs a charge. This of course is a total lie. If it was true why would they not spend $50 or less to charge it and get $1k+ more for the car.

This guy isn't the first.

The 350 looks pretty nice, that snake oil decal on the air filter housing bothers me the most. That old radar detector should be fun to remove as well.

Man this whole thing is *REALLY* a trap for the unwary.

A casual perusal of the ad makes the wagon look pretty nice, all the Mercedes books in place, car pretty clean, a good description of the car, the model in general and the history of the company

You guys REALLY know what time it is with this deal!!!

He does not really go into much detail about the car for sale. This is the third time that he has had that car listed. The guy is obviously a sheister with the private bidding. It makes it real easy for the shill bidding to happen.

I fell for one of his shenanigans last year. POS 300e with terrible paint job. Everything wrong with it. I can't believe he's still at it. Thank God I saved someone else who emailed me for a reference.

How may Ebay identities is he up to now? At least he always takes the photos at the same spot and always spells out "Saint Petersburg."
