The "Bandit By The Bay" has also been trying to dump this wagon on Craig's list. He had it listed last week for ~$8,995, but his add was much more subdued. No hyped claims.

The only way to recognize it was him was the Marina-side pictures and the St. Petersburg, FL address.

bandito by the bay is baaaacK

I spotted the 124 when the pictures whcih took so long to download started in http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230099963023

And what HYPE he uses for that E300D:stupid: :sailor:
I wonder if this isn't the very same E300D he listed on eBay last Sept, it was relisted # 230033924324 which has now disappeared, very strange why he hasn't sold that car yet!

Not very many people would consider N/A 3.0 Liter diesel quick and nimble.

With the highest horsepower to weight ratio of all Mercedes sedans, the 300D 3.0 is quick, nimble and very fun to drive.
He's never heard of a M-B V8?

very rare expensive combination blue on tan with leather seats
Funny how those look like MB-Tex. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

The service on the car was mostly performed at authorized Mercedes Benz facilities or dealerships.Oil changes were performed regularly using only expensive,Mercedes approved Diesel engine oil and the original equipment from the dealer. The transmission was serviced regularly as well according to Mercedes scheduled maintenance program. There are no original books or service records available.
So how does he know?

did you guys notice the different front corner blinkers. one is totally white/clear while the driver side has the yellow/orange in it. that plus the bumpers just write off the car from the get go.

The right one looks like a cheap aftermarket replacement, but the left one looks OEM.

I'm not seeing the bumper thing, what is it?

arcticathlon 03-07-2007 12:31 AM

he has a white W124 up too now.

One of my favorite color combos on 124 sedans.

Too bad they did a crappy repaint on that one. Look at the lettering on the trunk, I think the guy was drunk when he slapped those things on there.

It looks like the bottom of the passenger side front door has some real problems lining up. And his typical $99.95 paint job in some shots.

This just gets funnier...

OK,

I've been cracking up at this guy's auctions, so I thought I might weigh in-for full disclosure I'll say I sold cars for about two years (hated it but learned a LOT). Take a look at this one:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230100243030&ssPageName=MERC_VIC_RCRX_Pr4_PcY_BIN_IT&refitem=23009996302 3&itemcount=4&refwidgetloc=closed_view_item&usedrule1=CrossSell_LogicX&refwidgettype=cross_promot_wi dget

In the shots of the full front of the car, take a look at the headlights-yep, sediment and condensation, and by the looks of where it has settled and stained the inside of the headlights, the car was not only submerged but sitting almost over on its left side! There are a couple shots where there seems to be water that has drained out through the door panels, and left a similar stain. The leather looks dingey to me overall, and conveniently out of focus in those shots. Of course there is the "Shiny New" upper radiator hose, no doubt due to a fresh shot of Mr. Slicky's Spray-On Engine-Sell.

I wonder if he knows the whole Benz enthusiast community is laughing at him.

I don't see anything wrong with it.
