I started it up today, and I have a different problem than I thought. There is too much blowby, and the oil will come up the dipstick hole. I think that the rings are a problem. maybe I'll be posting photos for how to do an in frame 603 engine rebuild next.

we all have blow by...
how much do you have... how many miles does it have on it...... start with the compression test...

enough blowby that it's using 1 gallon of oil for every 60-80 miles. and I rebuilt the turbo, so I'm sure that it isn't the turbo. and It has about 190,000 miles on it. It wasn't to terribly well cared for before I got it. There was algae in the oil when I got it.
