good used ac compressor, sat up for 2 yrs

I have a ac rotary compressor that was in excellent working order when i removed it about 2 yrs ago. It was on a 1980 mercedes 300sd. It turns well but the oils that were in it have thickened some. How would i soften and flush out the old thickened oil so i can install it in my 1980 300D. thanks for any assistance. RAY

Flush it with the type of oil that you intend to use. Don't use any type of solvent.

right. You'll get better flushing action if you heat it up. (not with a torch, though )
