Weird squeaking noise..help?

Ok, I've had this weird, very light noise for the past few weeks. Maybe I am being a little too weary about squeaking on a 30 year old car, but I digress...

You know when you have a wheel on a shopping cart that makes that "squeak squeak" noise? Well, when I come to a complete stop, a very light version of this noise occurs..it almost sounds like a brake pad rubbing, but then it goes away upon acceleration. It also sometimes happens when making sharp turns from a complete stop.

Granted it doesn't sound bad and is barely noticeable, but I am curious WTH it could be since it has never happened before. Car only has 128,000 miles. Any help?

Hmm

D,

This would make some sense. I've had a slight pull while braking that I've noticed for a while, and the car pulls to the right, and sound seems to come from left hand (driver) side..

I've been wanting to do a thorought brake job soon but have not had the time. The caliper does not worry me as I have a parts car with one, but this may be the problem. Maybe a full scale brake replacement can remedy this issue.

EDIT

Unlike the W123, the W115 has all metal sway bar links, and checked and neither seem to be broken. Leaning towards the brakes...

Looks like I can do a full scale brake refurbishing with all new pads and discs for under 200, so it may have to be done
