For the love of god what is pin 9 of instrument cluster?

I cant make heads or tails of what its for. This is connecter 151 in the FSM. I just cant find what this wired is for.

I don't have the electrical FSM and Braingears doesn't have the instrument cluster schematic. The panel in my Haynes manual doesn't have a pin numbered "9." Can you post a copy of the diagram?

The 1982 Electrical Troubleshooting Manual seems to indicate that pin 9 on C151 is not used on the 300D. The 300SD uses that same connector, but an additional pin is used for the oil pressure guage (albeit not pin 9.)

This is on an 83 euro, its a brown grey (or white bit old) wire that used to go to the ignition. Perhaps it was something for the euro gauges or another light on the instrument panel. This car was federalized and the connector ( c151) is different on my 83 euro than it is on the 80 td. "Federalizing" included removing the adjustable headlights (GAH!) and an aftermarket warning/buzzer (non mb) was used. I have seen a 4th gauge on the left cluster that looked like a boost guage perhaps? Oh well I guess its not preventing me from driving. All I know is that so far, no wiring diagram matches what I have. I have looked at all the years and even the 240D schematics and its clearly different.
