order of wires on lr window
the wires are w/o a cap but i found it. the widow is not working and wil blow the fuse due to mis wiring. i have green/black, pink/black and red/white wires on this switch. this does not match the rest of the wires on the other three switches. does someone know the correct order?

On the connector are small numbers those numbers are shown in the electrical diagrams inthe SM.
Here is what it says for a 83 240D rear left window. Pin 3 green/black Pin 7 green/black Pin 1 black/white to motor Pin 2 green/blue to motor Pin 4 brown Pin 6 Blue Dave

i only have three wires. the ones i listed. there is a square plastic post taking up space on the switch.
my only options are 4 2 and 1. evidently this has to be RIGHT because i have burned out 3 30a fuses trying to get the window to move. the right front works fine. every switch in the console has different colored wires going to it so matching will not work.

the answer is..........
red, green pink, red in 4 pink in 5 and green in 1. well sort of....you can hear the click but still no movement. with the wires on the front window switch the window moves fine. there must have been a previous prob as this 1981 td has a window switch with a 45.kw 1999 label on it. hmmmmm.
i suppose i can try to take the switch apart and clean it. the danish modern import is trying to get my time. lets see....car, or wife, wife or car? getting the window to work will really please me and the wife will............. anyone got a quarter?
