When Is The Best Time To Sell A Mb On Ebay?

I know this is a silly queston, but do the prices on ebay for the mid 80s diesel wagons fluctuate much? Some one recently said the sumer usually has softer prices, but the prices I have been seeing do not seem soft at all. I also notice that there are not as many of these wagons on right now, maybe thats driving the price? I remember a few years ago there were always 20 to 30 on at any given time

Another consideration along these lines is what day of the week and what time of the day do you want your auction to end?

I'd never let it go at 3-4 in the morning. Rather, I think about 10 pm est would be better. Not too late for East coast people, and just about right for West coast people to get home from work.

On the day of the week I think Friday would be best. Just got paid, and haven't blown the pay check over the weekend.

Its funny you say Friday, I sell antiques and I find that Monday evening is better for me. Maybe for a car though its different? I also found that a 7 day auction works better than a 10 day auction. And I find that no reserve gets more interest than the ones with reserves. But most of these mid eighty diesel wagon is decent shape seem to go in the 7 to 10 grand range now a days

stats

I've taken a course on ebay, and the best time to sell MOST items (not all) is Sunday evening between 10 PM and 12 midnight. The reason is, most people aren't on the computer Saturday nights or Tuesday afternoons, etc. That said, me as a photographer, I know Sunday nights is NOT the best time to sell equipment. Photographers are thinking equipment when they're in their studios, but not the first thing in the morning at 10 AM. Their slow time might be 3 PM. So there's no best time for sure. The name of the game is to get as many potential buyer's looking at your ad.

Good luck!

Well, the original question was not really the time or day, but the season, Summer, Winter or spring .

Wait a few months until a huricane comes through and wipes out a few oil platforms, oil lines, or ports. Building tension in the Middle East will probably send prices up sharply in the next 2-4 months.

I'd wait for the next fuel scare; then right up an add that mentions WVO a lot, and 30mpg several times.

Enjoy spending the cash, I just want my 6% service fee, thank you.

During the summer, the typical consumer may be willing to pay more for a car with fully functional AC compared to during the fall, winter or spring.

I tend to think prices are at their highest right now for the next 7-8 months.

The best time to buy will be about January. The cold really hits the diesels with poor compression, bad glow plugs - and this year a new twist - the clogging of injection pumps with lard due to the WVO (waste vegetable oil) craze.

In your ad, include "Be Prepared for Hurricane Season with this alternate fuel vehicle"

That's an easy one

When you get sick of spending money on it.
