My 3rd Diesel, first time needing a driver's seat.
Just bought a 1995 Mercedes E300 for a little over $4800 ($4700 plus auction fee, it was a repo from a local credit union). It's got a lot of good things going for it, and other items that I'm going to need spend some time on.
Good: 1) It looks like it had Mercedes OEM parts the whole way. Even the battery is from a MB dealership 2) Interior is immaculate. No cracking with the wood and the dashboard looks brand new. The vehicle was originally from Chattanooga which also is a big plus. 3) Exterior has thick paint which is a rarity for the south. Bad: 1) I need to get a new driver's seat. The current one has too many cracks for me and I think the person who owned it may have been a heavier fellow. 2) A/C... A/C... A/C... it never blows cold during the day (doesn't blow hot either unless I turn the dial.) I did get it it to blow cold during the night but that apparently was a one time deal. 3) Diesel leaks... I will probably go to an indy shop for this. Don't have the equipment or experience for that work. I would like to bring the driver's seat up to spec if possible. If anyone has any helpful advice or experience I definitely could use it. Thanks and hope all is well... macarose Powder Springs, GA (a town between civilization and Deliverance) |

Perhaps the AC is a lowpressure switch problem? Or bad resistor sequence (the temperature detection?)
