I always forget this. i have a 1984 300d and i'm supposed to add this dieselkleen, 1 oz to every 3 gallons...
How many gallons of gas does the tank hold?

The total volume capacity of your fuel tank is 70 Litres or 18.49210 US Gallons

The owner's manual of my 1985 300D (California smog version) says the fuel tank, including reserve, holds 80 liters (21.1 gallons). Perhaps they put in a bigger tank because the trap oxidiser-equipped CA 85's get poorer mileage?

My 83 manual (federal) also says the 300D holds 80 liters (21.1 gallons). The 240 holds 65 liters (17.2 gallons). I believe that is correct, based on my experience.
