Yeah, but if the price of these TDs go up much more you could afford to pay cash for a new Sprinter to replace it with.

I have a 78 300D so know their 35-55 acceleration (or lack thereof)
metered traffic on ramps really suck when driving a non turbo.

I drove a turbo 300 TD that was at a local lot, and on ebay. It needed a few things for the interior and exterior, including possibly a new steering box, but it was fairly decent. I decided to bid up to 6500 on the car, which I did. It went for over 9K.

I bought my '96 instead, and haven't been dissappointed so far.

The old wagons are horribly overpriced right now. These prices may hold, or it might be a good time to unload them for 3K over their real (IMO) value.

the sad part is these cars will still need some work no matter what.... and if its anything major, figure on at least $1000 min more. A/c work alone if the system is shot - figure on $2k min. 20+ yr old is 20+ yr old.
