Diesel Withdrawal

I sold me '98 E300D tonight. I can't believe how depressing it was to watch that car go. The new owner commented on how it was nicer than his new Accord. His friend thought I had it repainted because it looked like new and so did the interior. It really was a nice, nice car. I am now diesel free. Does anyone else feel remorse after selling their Mercedes?

I'd have trouble getting rid of any of these........and I certainly do not need three of them.

I am curious, however, as to why you would dispose of that vehicle.......a pristine example of the highly refined W210........with the turbo 606 for longevity. The combination seems unbeatable........???

i have had i believe 29 benzes counting a few parts cars. i now have four.

the only one i ever regretted selling was my 280e euro five speed.

and i have bought it back and am in the process of restoring it to operating condition at the present.

It'd be too hard for me, I'd simply not be able to sell my 300SD. I changed all it's glowplugs and P/S hoses last night. Up next on the list is the steering damper/shock.

It was strickly a financial decision. I have a work car that I drive to and from work. The Benz was strictly a weekend car. I have also been carrying large amounts of student loan debt for a long, long time. I thought I should just sell it any pay them down. I can honestly say I still did not feel any better after getting the check in my hand.

I keep telling myself that cars can be replaced...but it still sucks to see a sentimental one go.
