fuel delivery valve

did a search to cure the leak on top of the injection pump on my 83 240d. the number 2 fuel delivery valve is leaking fuel in spades. the search revealed a part number for a rubber 'o' ring. and a part number for a copper washer. reviewing the posts on the topic have run into a problem. some posts state very clearly there is no o ring. all agree there is a copper washer. anybody have info on this? anybody want to come over and either fix this or put me out of my misery?
