Red face Testing for Vacuum leak

Hello all, any help on this matter, 1991 2.5 turbo diesel, vac pump tests down to 190mbar, system is tight from vac pump to transmission and switch and brake booster.
System loses 100mb plus+ when connected to turbo attacements, egr pressure transducer, vacuum flap pressure transducer and the turbo boost pressure transducer. tested each one, with mitey vac, how do you test these pressure transducers or pressure converters as they are called from dealer??
how do you know if one is bad?
Any suggestion on how to test the vac systerm to find a leak.

Last does the vacuum flap do on the turbo boost?

again, any help on will be appreciated,

Testing for vacuum leak

Hey Oyster,

Just saw your post.

I was reading the shop manuals a few days ago regarding error codes stored in the computer. My 93 300d is storing codes for both vacuum transducers, but I replaced the y31/1, so think the problem is a leak in a shared component somwhere.

Vacuum testing for the components you mention seemed to be contained in those docs.

If you will look up codes for the vacuum transducer failures, and crossmatch to the appropriate tests, you might find what you are seeking.

hth,

Jack
