Front Brakes on 82 300sd

I need to change the front discs. Do I need to remove the front bearing to get the disc off? is it the same procedure as the rear?

To remove the front rotors you have to undo the wheel bearing to get the hub off the spindle then remove the rotor from the hub. Get a tube of MB brand wheel bearing grease so you clean and lube as part of that service. Get new inner grease seals as well.

There's at most a small screw holding the rear rotors to the hub. Not nearly as complex as the fronts but I've not seen a 126 rear rotor come off easily. Since I'm ready to replace them I use a mallet on the inside face of the rotor.
