I like how he says the center vent not working is an "easy fix". Since when is ripping out the dash to get to a vacuum pod easy?? I am really surprised that the bidding is already at $3,500 with over a day to go. That's a lot more than I paid for my 87 300D, but I guess the one advantage is this car has the iron head, whereas mine is aluminum.

It is an interesting idea. It probably could be a very nice driver.
I doubt you could get it inspected if there are emissions requirements. Technically it is probably a violation of federal law. I would never trust the conversion and would assume that it would take a lot of work to make it reliable. I am guessing too much work. |
